About the Book

From the author of The Greatest Hijack comes a sequel, The Hijacker Strikes Back. In the heart of Esanland, Edo State, Nigeria, unfolds a tale of love, betrayal, and redemption. Prince Babza Tabor, a celebrated tycoon, and his childhood love, Candice Zakeih, find their wedding joy shattered within 24 hours of their marriage by a malevolent force that seeks the prince for itself. Seduced by temptation, Babza abandons his responsibilities, plunging his father and their community into despair. Candice, a warrior who had previously eradicated the practice of FGM (female genital mutilation) in her village, now faces her darkest battle yet. Guided by angels and beset by demons, she must rescue her husband from the seductive clutches of a sinister entity known as the Hunter, a malevolent Hijacker. Armed with an indomitable spirit and supported by otherworldly allies, Candice journeys through the valley of death to usher in a new dawn for her marriage and her people. Inspired by actual events, this gripping epic weaves together romance, suspense, and social and mystical commentaries.

About the Author

Nigerian-born Caroline Ilogienboh received her education in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She spent over thirty years working in the schools and court system of New Jersey, USA. As a probation officer in the New Jersey Judiciary, she supervised young adults. Her passion for advocating for young girls led her to develop a gender-specific program, and she wrote her first book, Jayda’s Story: Lost at the Crossroads, to address issues particular to girls. She also wrote the sequels, The Return of Tyreek and Nowhere to Hide, which address male issues. She is retired and dedicates her time to advocating for the eradication of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Female Genital Pressing (FGP). She has authored several books, including the award-winning “Saving Bekyah: Confronting Female Circumcision, Sexuality, and Womanhood.” The sequel, The Greatest Hijack, explores the origins of FGM from a biblical perspective. Additionally, The Hijacker Strikes Back reveals the hidden agenda behind the practice of FGM/FGP and its effects on families and the community as a whole. As part of her advocacy work, Caroline created educational videos on FGM using puppetry, where inanimate objects representing female organs are manipulated by a finger and the voice of a human puppeteer to tell their stories. The videos can be found on YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok. Caroline resides in New Jersey, USA, and travels to Nigeria multiple times a year to deliver talks to audiences in communities that practice female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/FGP). She hosts virtual talks and attends international conferences, educating the audience on the subject. Caroline serves as a co-chair and presenter at her church’s Faith Sharing Ministry. She is a passionate believer with a wealth of stories that testify to her journey of faith. Caroline enjoys gardening, swimming, and spending time with her adorable grandchildren.
