Terror Kingdom

July 4th-8:59am The explosions seemed to be signaled by the same radio device. Of the thousands of park guests later questioned, there was no varying opinions on whether one went off before the other. The explosives set by the Bravo Team on Daydream One went off exactly as planned. The first block of C-4 went off and a millisecond later the explosives in the other compartments followed. The dock at the Daydream Kingdom was completely blown to bits along with the boat tethered to it. When the smoke and flames followed, it could not be determined what pieces belonged to the dock and which to the boat. The front of the park was instantly cut off by water access. While shielded by the raised drawbridge, Rover One felt the blast from the nearby dock. He was not close enough to get rained on by the debris, but his ears were ringing none the less. He instantly made the sign of the cross and thanked his blessings that he was not near the dock. Dispatch had sent him to patrol the front entrance area of the park and for once he was happy he did not make it on time. At the tunnel entrance to the underground area of the park, the explosives contained in the delivery truck also went off as planned. The Alpha team that made their way to the surface, along with the rest of the park visitors, would swear that they felt an earthquake happen. The ground rumbled and shook as first the explosives went off and then the truck itself exploded. The inner tunnel was instantly collapsed for 50 yards in either direction of the parked vehicle without affecting the surface. The perfect amount of C-4 had been used so not to cause excessive damage. The rubble from the tunnel walls made it impossible enough for anyone to enter or exit the park using the utility tunnel. There were no casualties from the blast but the structure stability of the rest of the tunnel was questionable. Alpha and Bravo teams dispersed quickly and set about their individual directives to take up positions in the park. In the rear of the park, Gamma team had used the commotion to exit the park towards the Administration building. Their mission of controlling any aerial assault was critical to the success of the operation and they quickly went about to secure the resources needed for action. Like the other teams, however, they remained undercover in their endeavors from the common viewpoint. The only team stepping out to take control of the assault was Delta team. Colonel Sizemore, with his overall presence, was hard to disguise behind a character mask. While the only police officer standing guard at the left gate was distracted by the marina blast, the Colonel quickly took him out with a blow to the back of his head. Lowering him to the ground, the Colonel quickly removed the officer’s gun and radio. Using the officer’s own handcuffs, he was secured to a nearby iron fence. At the right gate, closest to the bus loop, Vinny the Boom issued the same assault on the police officer standing guard there. Within ten seconds of the blast, all police presence was contained and there was no one else with weapons at the main gate of Daydream Kingdom besides Delta team. Splitting their resources, Salty Sam and Two-tone Tony assisted Vinny in securing that entrance while the other two soldiers joined the Colonel. Seconds after the two explosions, all access to Daydream Kingdom was locked down. Both the left and right gates were instantly challenged as park security personnel tried to breach through to get to the marina. Each sub-section of the Delta team raised their weapons and quickly shut down the activity. “Hold it right there.” The Colonel and Vinny each assumed their leadership roles as chaos ensued around them. With three M-16s raised at either entrance, no one was about to exit the park. “What the hell is going on?” While no one dared to question the Colonel, Vinny did not have the same physical presence. “I’ll tell you what’s going on. Daydream Kingdom is officially closed at the moment. Don’t try to be heroes and no one will get hurt.” “You can’t keep us here.” Vinny laughed inside his mask. “Sure we can. What’s your name, boss man?” “Tommy. You can call me Tommy. I’m not the boss. I’m just the security lead at the moment. Tell me what’s going on.” “Look around you, Tommy. There’s nowhere to go. There are no boats and no bridge to cross. We decided to shut things down for a little bit. Just go back into the park and relax. As long as no one tries to leave, we won’t have a problem.” “Are you saying we are all hostages?” Vinny looked over at the other members of Delta team and looked back at the security guard. “Hostage is such a strong word. Let’s just say you go back in the park and play along for now and you’ll still make that family barbeque at the end of the day.” “You’re not getting away with this. You can’t hold a whole theme park hostage.” “We’ll see about that.” The security guard thought better about pushing the issue and stepped back away from the gate. Taking over control on the inside of the gate, he summoned the guards together to give instructions. “For now, keep all guests away from the gates. Don’t let anyone get within fifty feet of these animals. Lock down the park before anyone gets hurt.” “What’s going on up here, Tommy?” “I think the park was just taken over by terrorists. At the moment, we are all hostages. Just keep everyone back until control tells us what to do next.”
